In 1937, René Magritte gave a lecture at the KMSKA titled La ligne de vie. He spoke about his vision of reality, the history of Surrealism in Belgium, and the development of his art. This exhibition brings his words to life with works he highlighted at the time and sheds light on Magritte’s connection with Antwerp’s Surrealists.
Join a guided tour and delve deeper into Magritte’s ideas on Surrealism and reality. Discover how he, as a unifying figure between Antwerp and Brussels, left his mark on the Surrealist movement. You will not only view the artworks but also explore the unique philosophy behind his art
