Slow Art Day with music
What happens when you experience art while being accompanied by live music? On Slow Art Day, you can discover it among our Modern Masters. Take a seat in front of an early 20th-century painting while, behind you, a jazz trio improvises and transports you to the Roaring Twenties.
How does the music influence your viewing experience? Do you notice different details? Do colours and sounds enhance each other? After the performance, you can share your impressions under the guidance of museum guide Koen Cools. The performance is provided by a special trio from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp: Guy Vaerendonck (teacher) and Gust Cools (student) on electric guitar, and Fré Madou (teacher) on double bass.
