How are paintings from the KMSKA collection conserved and restored so they can hang at their best in the museum galleries?
Every two months you are welcome to visit the restoration studio. Then you can learn all about the works of art they are treating at that time from the conservators themselves.
On Tuesday, November 5, conservator Beatriz Lorente will explain the treatment of the painting Afternoon in Ostend by James Ensor.
The restoration studio is an international knowledge and research center, where conservators from around the world work together. The language of communication in the restoration studio is English.
