KMSKA LATE - Dead Ladies Show
Category:
Date:

Author Gaea Schoeters and Passa Porta present, with the Belgian version of the Dead Ladies Show, a series of sparkling cafés chant ants celebrating remarkable women from the past who deserve lasting admiration, with tributes in words, images, and music.
In edition 12, poet Hélène Gelèns tells us all about her Danish colleague Inger Christensen, while Inge Schilperoord talks about author (and rally driver) Hélène de Zuylen de Nyevelt (aka Paule Riversdale). Tijmen Govaerts speaks about pilot and sex pioneer Beate Ushe-Rotermund. The music is provided by resident pianist Lies Colman and soprano Lisa Willems, featuring works by Vitezslava Kapralova and Kaija Saariaho. As always, the presentation is in the capable hands of Gaea Schoeters.
