KMSKA LATE - De Twintigers - Moene Peeters

Category:

Concert

Date:

8 October 2026 from 20:00 to 20:45
De Twintigers is a programme on the Belgian radio station Klara that focuses on promising musicians in the fields of classical music, jazz and world music. During the spring, the programme featured one musician each week, showcasing their talents through various segments and live concerts. We look forward to discovering this new generation at the museum, where they engage with the KMSKA’s collection.

Moene Peeters has been playing his favourite instrument – the drums – since he was a child. It is through this instrument that Moene is able to fully realise his need for self-expression. Last year, he graduated from the Lemmens Institute under Dré Pallemaerts with top marks!

Moene plays both classical jazz and jazz combining extremes, as in his ‘Toots’ recording. With his regular band Slagader – comprising Bruno De Smet, Roeland Celis and Soet Kempeneer – he composes all the pieces and pushes the boundaries of what is energetic, vibrant and experimental. For now, 25-year-old Moene remains a local legend, but there is no doubt that he will go on to conquer the international jazz scene.
