Four musicians, four voices, one breath. The Planquartet demonstrates why the string quartet has been regarded for centuries as the most intimate and versatile form of chamber music. With a keen sense of ensemble playing and a refined sound, Edoardo Brandi, Alejandro Sierra Alzate, Abraham Constantino Noguera and Nadia Plancarte Huamantalla present a programme in which every note counts.
In the atmospheric setting of the Cocktail Bar, the power of the string quartet comes exceptionally close. There is no distance between the stage and the audience; instead, you can experience the music up close: whisper-soft, intense and, at times, surprisingly exuberant. Here, melodies unfold like conversations; voices touch, clash briefly and find harmony once more.
