KMSKA LATE Talks – Anthony Leenders in collaboration with Noon Gallery

Category:

Talk

Date:

1 October 2026 from 19:00 to 19:45
KMSKA is a place of tension and encounter: where old and modern masters challenge one another and new voices find resonance. In that spirit, we present a special series of talks: LATE TALKS.

During LATE TALKS promising artists are in the spotlight. In an intimate setting, they discuss their practice, their motivations, and the role of art today. How do they relate to tradition? What traces do the Old and Modern Masters leave in their work? And how do they translate that legacy into a contemporary visual language? LATE TALKS creates space for exchange and deeper exploration. No detached lectures, but lively conversations where ideas clash, perspectives shift, and new insights emerge.
Here you’ll meet artists at a turning point in their careers: passionate, inquisitive, and in dialogue with a rich past. With this series, KMSKA offers a platform to a new generation of artists and strengthens its connection to the contemporary art field. LATE TALKS bridges the gap between eras, between practices, and between people.

During this edition, curator Siska Baeck will be in conversation with Anthony Leenders, discussing his solo exhibition, which runs from 25 September to 25 October 2026 at Noon Gallery.

Anthony Leenders is a Belgian designer and visual artist who explores the relationship between people, nature and the built environment. Drawing on an ecological and contemplative perspective, he creates objects, installations and spatial interventions that combine functionality with symbolic and spiritual meaning. His work invites us to slow down, become more mindful and adopt a more regenerative way of life, centred on natural materials, craftsmanship and circular processes. By shaping atmospheres and landscapes that connect body, mind and environment, Leenders seeks alternative ways of living together that support the wellbeing of both people and nature.
