KMSKA LATE Talks – Pieter Jennes in collaboration with Nino Mier

During the LATE TALKS, the spotlight is on promising artists. In an intimate setting, they discuss their practice, their motivations, and the role of art today. How do they relate to tradition? What traces have the Old and Modern Masters left in their work? And how do they translate that legacy into a contemporary visual language?

In this edition, curator Adriaan Gonnissen will be in conversation with Pieter Jennes, following his exhibition at Nino Mier Gallery on 22 January 2027.

Pieter Jennes (b. 1990, Mortsel) is a Belgian contemporary artist who lives and works in Antwerp. Through his paintings, he creates a distinctive visual world in which human and animal figures appear in scenes that oscillate between the everyday and the absurd. His recognisable visual language and unique painterly style have earned him international acclaim. His work is represented in both public and private collections.
