KMSKA LATE – Unveiling: Becoming What I Am

Category:

Activities

Date:

2 April 2026 from 17:00 to 18:00
Something is stirring in the museum garden. At the end of March, the first gallery of the KMSKA will gain a new and monumental sculpture: Becoming What I Am by Liliane Vertessen.

Vertessen is known for her powerful visual language, in which themes such as identity, self-awareness, and physicality take center stage. She belongs to a generation of female artists who adopt a critical stance toward the representation of women as objects of desire.

With this work, the KMSKA further strengthens its commitment to presenting contemporary voices beyond the museum galleries. In this way, the museum garden becomes a place where current themes are made visible and where art enters into dialogue with the surrounding neighborhood.

On April 2, we will unveil the sculpture together with the artist. We warmly invite you to join us for this festive moment.
