KMSKA LATE - De Twintigers van Klara
Category:
Date:
8 October 2026 from 19:00 to 20:30

A program by the Belgian radio station Klara that focuses on promising musicians in classical music, jazz, and world music. Each week, the program highlights one musician and showcases their talents through various segments and live concerts. A fresh wave of young musicians is ready to present their talent. We are eager to discover this new generation in the museum.
For ten weeks, De Twintigers will engage in a dialogue with the collection of the KMSKA.
De Twintigers
- September 24 – Elly Brouckmans – saxophone, jazz
- October 8 – Moene Peeters – jazz drums
- Autumn – Luna De Mol – violin, classical/baroque
Elly Brouckmans (saxophone, jazz) - Jette
After completing her degree in civil engineering, Elly set out to pursue her true dream. She began her musical training at the Lemmens Institute and is this year completing her Master’s degree in saxophone at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels. Together with Yarno Hoedemaekers, Umberto Odone and Toon Rumen, she founded Mania, a quartet for which they write their own music in a style entirely their own. In that quartet, Elly plays the alto saxophone, whilst she is a very welcome guest in several big bands with her baritone saxophone: after all, she enchants the listener with her direct and profound communication.
Moene Peeters (drums, jazz) – Leuven
From childhood, Moene Peeters has played his favourite instrument: the drums. On this instrument, Moene can fully realise his need for self-expression. He graduated last year from Dré Pallemaerts (Lemmens Institute) with top marks! Moene plays both classic jazz and jazz where extremes meet, as in his Toots recording. With his regular band ‘Slagader’, featuring Bruno De Smet, Roeland Celis and Soet Kempeneer, he writes all the pieces and pushes the boundaries of energetic, vibrant and experimental music. For now, 25-year-old Moene is still a local legend, but there is no doubt that he will conquer the international jazz world.
Luna De Mol (violin, classical) – London (UK)
Violinist Luna De Mol from Ghent was admitted to the Conservatorium van Amsterdam at the age of 12. At 15, she was accepted into the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she completed her studies and received the prestigious ‘Chairman’s Prize’ for achieving the highest final mark across the entire institution. Luna has already performed for several international radio and TV stations. For this live recording, she played Poulenc’s Violin Sonata FP119 on an Italian Rocca violin from 1836. Luna is 24 years old and founded her own string quartet, Fibonacci, at the age of 17.
Sabra Bahri Khatri (vocals, classical) – Amsterdam (NL)
Whether opera or art song repertoire, solo songs from the Baroque or Romantic periods: Belgian soprano Sabra Bahri Khatri handles it all with ease. Her repertoire in her Toots recording ranges from an intimate neo-Baroque art song to a lyrical jazz standard. In the chamber music sphere, Sabra forms a duo with pianist Ramon Van Engelenhoven, as well as a trio with lute player Abid Bahri and Philippe Malfeyt. Her name also features prominently on the programmes of opera houses, particularly in the Netherlands. With her divine voice and profound musicality, she connects with the audience with the greatest of ease.
