Philip Aguirre y Otegui Audio tour

For fans of artist talks, we have something special in store as part of the Philip Aguirre y Otegui exhibition. In the accompanying audio tour, Philip himself takes you through more than forty years of his artistic career.

His niece, journalist Phara de Aguirre, joins him in conversation, asking thought-provoking questions about his responsibility as an artist. At the same time, much like you perhaps, she is curious about how his many travels have influenced his use of colour and choice of materials, and how his experiences find their way into his work.

The result is an insight into Philip’s ongoing search for beauty and poetry, even in difficult times, both past and present. And thanks to the special bond between Philip and Phara, the conversation has a wonderfully personal feel, almost as if you were sitting around the table with the Aguirre family yourself.
