KMSKA LATE Live - Egemen Zumrut Jazz Trio
Category:
Date:

During KMSKA LATE, the masters on the walls are joined by a jazz trio featuring alto saxophone, double bass and drums.
Behind the drums is Egemen Zümrüt. A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees, he has brought together a trio built around his own compositions alongside selected works from the jazz repertoire.
Improvisation, interaction and a shared musical language are at the heart of the performance. Without a piano or guitar, there is ample room for dialogue between the musicians. The alto saxophone, double bass and drums listen and respond to one another, allowing the music to unfold naturally in the moment. This intimate and exploratory approach to jazz perfectly complements the atmosphere of the museum on a Thursday evening.
