Simon Le Borgne & Ulysse Zangs
Ad Libitum, Latin expression that literally means “according to one’s wishes” or “to satiety,” is a piece about desire—renewed or dwindling—to create, to embody, to perform, to step beyond oneself, to grow.
A choreographic and musical dialogue, between synchronicity and counterpoint. By focusing our attention on the energy circulating between us, on what is specific to each person: the breath, the rhythm of the heartbeat, we invoke the empathy needed to experience the other in all their humanity. We aim to make ourselves malleable and vulnerable to a variety of forms and contents, in order to create a performance with a cyclical character: decay giving way to growth, the fall of a body enabling a new burst of life.
A dialogue between dance and music, choreography and composition. With a nod to the visual language of Antony Gormley.

Be enchanted by this display of sensitive masculinity, sculptural dance with live rock music. A wondrous celebration of empathy and humanity.
