Reynaers Aluminium enjoys, together with KMSKA, the inspiring setting among the greatest masters of the fine arts

A leading European specialist in the development of aluminium applications for the construction of windows, doors, façade systems and conservatories, and Belgian market leader Reynaers Aluminium has shared a passion for art, culture, architecture… and light for more than 55 years. Benelux marketing and communication manager Stephanie Gross sheds light on this.
Why do you consider it important to engage in this kind of partnership?

Stephanie Gross: “As a company, Reynaers Aluminium strives for long-term collaborations with its partners. Achieving goals together is important for today’s and tomorrow’s success. Our vision states ‘Together we improve people’s living and working environments. For now and for the generations after us. We combine design, engineering and digitalisation in innovative solutions that add value. In this way, we inspire our partners to create sustainable buildings.’ The associated values for us are passion, care, connectedness and courage. We are passionate in everything we do and always look beyond our own company. Our passion for art makes it an obvious choice to support a museum such as KMSKA. Care, in this respect, makes the word ‘together’ extremely important. Our motto is not without reason ‘Together for better’. Sustainable cultural sponsorship such as this is part of that, as it allows us to contribute socially and keep our art heritage accessible for current and future generations. Connectedness is also an important core value. We are convinced that we achieve the best results by joining forces. In addition, we are courageous: we challenge the status quo and never stand still, we are creative and innovative.”

As a Belgian family-owned company active worldwide, we are proud to associate our name with KMSKA: a magnificent museum with international appeal thanks to its world-renowned collections, housed in an architectural masterpiece.

Why did you choose KMSKA?

“As a Belgian family-owned company active worldwide, we are pleased to associate our name with KMSKA. It is a magnificent museum with international appeal thanks to its world-renowned collections, housed in an architectural masterpiece. Coming together and meeting one another in such an inspiring and creative environment is ideal.”

What is your favourite work from the collection?

“We regard the museum itself as a work of art. And what could align better with our business activity than light? Hence: ‘The Finest Light’ by KAAN Architects. Daylight, indirect light and carefully designed artificial lighting: throughout the museum, light plays an important role. In the nineteenth century, the original architects Jean-Jacques Winders and Frans Van Dijk designed a daylight museum. Over time, little of that concept remained. Fortunately, KAAN Architects return to the basics, with daylight playing a crucial role. We also respond to this increasingly important role of light in public buildings and private homes with our window - and door solutions that allow large glazed surfaces and slim profiles. A beautiful parallel.”

What is your company most looking forward to during this partnership?

“It is a pleasure to be able to support a Belgian museum of the highest calibre. Together with our partners, we share a great love for art and architecture. Enjoying art and culture over the coming three years in an inspiring setting, surrounded by the greatest masters of the fine arts, is a wonderful prospect for us.”
